Travelling to Vancouver Island

By Airplane and Float Plane 

Whether you are flying in from Alberta, Washington State or places further afield, arriving on Vancouver Island by airplane is easy. Many daily direct flights are available from WestJet, Pacific Coastal Airlines and Harbour Air to Comox or Nanaimo. From either of these airports, direct shuttle service and car rental services are available.

By Ferry

If you are arriving from Vancouver or other Lower Mainland locations, regular ferry service from West Vancouver (Horseshoe Bay) or Tsawwassen is available from BC Ferries to Nanaimo, BC. The crossing time for this trip is approximately 95 minutes.

Alternately, if part of your travels include a visit to Victoria or the southern part of Vancouver Island, regular ferry service from or Tsawwassen is available from BC Ferries to Victoria, BC. The crossing time for this trip is approximately 95 minutes.

If you are arriving from Washington state, the Black Ball Ferry – the M.V. Coho – provides ferry service between Victoria, B.C. on Vancouver Island with Port Angeles, WA. The scenic 90 minute crossing provides you the opportunities to relax and get ready for your vacation at Qualicum Breeze Resort!


Once you are on Vancouver Island

From Victoria, BC
If you are from Victoria or you have started your trip further south on Vancouver Island, travelling by car to Qualicum Breeze Resort is a pleasant and scenic trip. Travel northbound on Highway 19. Once you arrive in Parksville (just 15 minutes north of Nanaimo) you may continue on Highway 19 to Bowser or get on  Highway 19A for a more leisurely, scenic, ocean view route of the eastern side of Vancouver Island.

From Nanaimo, BC
If you are from Nanaimo or you have arrived by BC ferries from Vancouver or the Lower Mainland,  Qualicum Breeze Resort is just a 45 minute drive northbound on Highway 19 or, once you arrive in Parksville (just 15 minutes north of Nanaimo), you may get on  Highway 19A for a more leisurely, scenic, ocean view route of the eastern side of Vancouver Island.

From Courtenay or Comox, BC
If you are from Courtenay or Comox, or you have arrived by airplane from Vancouver, the Lower Mainland, Alberta or other points, Qualicum Breeze Resort is just a 30 minute drive southbound on Highway 19 or you may choose to travel on  Highway 19A for a more leisurely, scenic, ocean view route of the eastern side of Vancouver Island.


Finding Qualicum Breeze Resort

From Highway 19

If you have traveled from Victoria, Nanaimo or Parksville on Highway 19, turn right at Exit 75  (Horne Lake Road Exit) and follow the signs to Highway 19A North. You will find the entrance to Qualicum Breeze Resort on your right-hand side (ocean side).

If you have traveled from Courtenay or Comox on Highway 19, turn left at Exit 75  (Horne Lake Road Exit) and follow the signs to Highway 19A North. you will find the entrance to Qualicum Breeze Resort on your right-hand side (ocean side).

From Highway 19A

If you have traveled from Victoria, Nanaimo or Parksville on Highway 19A, you will find the entrance to Qualicum Breeze Resort on your right-hand side (ocean side).

If you have traveled from Courtenay or Comox on Highway 19A, you will find the entrance to Qualicum Breeze Resort on your left-hand side (ocean side).
